What is the British Naturalisation?
British Naturalisation is the process by which a person who is not automatically a British citizen acquires citizenship by application, typically after holding Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) for at least 12 months and meeting the residence and good character requirements.
Once naturalised, you receive full British citizenship rights — including the right to vote, hold a British passport, and live in the UK without any immigration restrictions whatsoever. You can also pass British citizenship to children born after your naturalisation.

Do You Qualify?

You must have held ILR, settled status, or be a national of certain exempt countries, for at least 12 months before applying (unless married to a British citizen).
